Choosing a Mounting Method Before installing TrueSTEAM in a home, you must decide which mounting method you want to use: Which is right for you? DUCT MOUNTING - if you can mount TrueSTEAM onto the supply duct of the HVAC system: The generated steam goes directly into the supply duct. This is the simplest type of installation, but it requires that a suitable mounting location can be found on the supply duct. Return Supply REMOTE MOUNTING - if a suitable mounting location can not be found on the supply duct: The TrueSTEAM can be mounted up to 20 feet away from the supply duct for select models. A remote hose must be installed to carry steam from TrueSTEAM to the supply duct. You will need to use a remote mounting kit (see "Appendix B: Parts List" on page 59).
