TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Symptoms Possible Causes Solution The unit beeps at some bar codes and NOT for others of the same bar code symbology. The bar code may have been printed incorrectly. The scanner is not configured correctly for this type of bar code. The minimum symbol length setting does not work with the bar code. Check if it is a check digit/character/or border problem. Check if check digits are set properly. Check if the correct minimum symbol length is set. The unit scans the bar code but there is no data. The configuration is not set correctly. Make sure the scanner is configured for the appropriate mode. The next four items are only relevant for a Keyboard Wedge interface. The unit scans but the data is not correct. The configuration is not set correctly. Make sure that the proper PC type AT, or PS2 is selected. Verify correct country code and data formatting are selected. Adjust inter-character delay symptom.
