These instructions are intended to provide steps that will work for most types of compatible SFPs. For instructions that are specific to the exact type of SFP, refer to the manufacturer's documentation. SFPs are supplied by several different manufacturers and have different designs. Some SFPs have wire bales, as shown in Figure 14, and others have plastic tabs, as shown in Figure 15. Follow the instructions appropriate to the type of SFP you are installing.
