Preference Page Note This menu is only available when your TV is in DVD mode and playback is stopped or no disc is inserted. TV Type-You can select: • NTSC-Displays the TV type. This information is for display only. You cannot change this option. Downmix-You can select: • LT/RT-Outputs the audio from a disc recorded with multi-channel audio to the left and right channels. • Stereo-Outputs the audio from a disc recorded with multi-channel audio in stereo. Audio-Selects the audio language for the DVD, if the DVD was recorded in multiple languages. Dolby Digital Setup • Dynamic-Sets the compression ratio to control the sound (volume) contrast. The sound contrast is the difference in volume between the loud and soft sounds on a disc's audio track. Press S or T to select a compression ratio. Subtitle-Turns subtitles on or off and selects the DVD subtitle language, if the DVD was recorded with subtitles.
