Insignia 32" LED-LCD HDTV, 1080p Problem Good picture, but no sound. Audio noise or static. Solution • Increase the volume. • Press MUTE to make sure that the sound is not turned off. • Make sure that the audio mode is set to STEREO or MONO. For more information, see "Selecting the audio mode" on page 19. • Make sure that headphones are not connected to your TV. When headphones are connected, sound from the TV speakers is muted. • Move radio frequency equipment, such as cell phones, away from your TV. Remote control Problem Remote control does not work. Remote control does not control connected HDMI devices. Solution • Make sure that the remote control batteries are installed correctly. For more information, see "Installing remote control batteries" on page 7. • Replace the remote control batteries. For more information, see "Installing remote control batteries" on page 7. • Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working power outlet. • Make sure that the INlink Control option is set to On. See "Using INlink" on page 31. • Make sure that the HDMI CEC control is turned on for the connected device. • Make sure that the connected HDMI device is CEC-compatible. Password is lost. Cannot access some settings or options. TV cabinet creaks. Buttons do not work. Solution • The program may be blocked by parental controls. For more information, see "Blocking unrated TV" on page 24 or "Setting parental control levels" on page 25. • The control buttons on the front of your TV may be locked. For more information, see "Locking control buttons" on page 23. • The channel may have been deleted from the channel list. You can still tune to the channel using the number buttons. For more information, see "Selecting a channel" on page 16. You can also add the channel to the channel list. For more information, see "Hiding channels" on page 20. • On the Parental Controls menu, enter 9999 as the password, then set a new password. For more information, see "Setting or changing the password" on page 23. • If a setting or option is grayed out, it is not available in the current mode. • When you are using your TV, the temperature inside the cabinet increases. This causes the cabinet to creak. This is not a malfunction. • Unplug the power cord, wait a few seconds, then plug the power cord back in and turn on your TV. www.insigniaproducts.com 37
