Connect the subwoofer LFE output of a receiver to either the left or right line-level RCA input jack. In this situation, a Y adapter could be used but is not required. If you don't have an LFE output, then left/ right pre-amplifier outputs can be connected to the left/right line-level RCA input jacks.
