Invacare® TDX® SP2 Series 7.2.4 How to Disconnect the Mobility Device After Charging 1. Once charging is complete, disconnect the battery charger from the power supply. 2. Disconnect the plug from the remote. 7.2.5 Storage and Maintenance Follow the instructions listed below to ensure safe use and longevity of the batteries: • Always store the batteries fully charged. • Do not leave the batteries in a low state of charge for an extended length of time. Charge a discharged battery as soon as possible. • In case your mobility device is not used for a longer period of time (that is more than two weeks), the batteries must be charged at least once a month to maintain a full charge and always be charged before use. • Avoid hot and cold extremes when storing. We recommend to store batteries at a temperature of 59 °F (15 °C). • Gel and AGM batteries are maintenance-free. Any performance issues should be handled by a properly trained mobility device technician. 7.2.6 Using the Proper Batteries WARNING! Risk of Injury or Damage Improper configuration of battery terminals may cause injury or damage. - Batteries with terminal configuration as shown MUST be used. - Terminals MUST have a cross hole in them as shown. - The POSITIVE (+) RED battery cable MUST connect to the POSITIVE (+) battery terminals/posts. - The NEGATIVE (-) BLACK battery cable MUST connect to the NEGATIVE (-) battery terminals/posts. - DO NOT allow any of your tools and/or battery cables to contact both battery terminals at the same time. CAUTION! Risk of Damage Use of wrong battery type or size may cause damage. - DO NOT force a battery into place. - Batteries with molded straps or flanges that interfere with proper battery placement should not be used. - Use batteries listed in this manual for proper replacement. 46 60101831-A

How to Disconnect the Mobility Device After
Charging
