TCP image/audio cannot be played back Check the total bit rate and number of distributions on the AOperationB page of VN-E4. Maximum bitrate from VN-E4 is 40 Mbps. New requests for distribution will be denied upon exceeding 40 Mbps. VN-E4 allows TCP transmission of up to 10 streams of JPEG or audio data. For example, when acquiring 4 JPEG and 1 audio streams via TCP using the built-in viewer, a maximum of 2 built-in viewers may be connected to one VN-E4. Make use of multicast for monitoring by multiple viewers. VN-E4 allows multicast transmission of up to 10 streams. Multicast image/audio cannot be played back Start multicast transmission manually from the AStreamingB page of VN-E4. In the case of multicast reception at the built-in viewer, check that the multicast address and port number of the built-in viewer settings coincide with those on the AStreamingB page of VN-E4. Make use of a network that supports IGMP for multicast transmission. The frame rate of JPEG is low Check the settings on the AEncodingB page of the VN-E4 unit. Check the built-in viewer settings as well when a built-in viewer is in use. Frame rate will be constrained when the network bandwidth is narrow. Frame rate will be constrained when there is prolonged network delay or when the data volume sent from VN-E4 is high. When this occurs, enlarge the window scale of the PC on which the viewer is running. The window scale can be altered by changing the Windows registry. Refer to Windows manual on procedures to change the Windows registry. Noise is heard in the audio Narrow network bandwidth or considerable jitter may cause failure of smooth transmission. This can be remedied by reducing the transmission volume. Transmission volume can be lowered by reducing the number of channels, frame rate and frame size of JPEG data to acquire. Audio output from the PC will pass through Windows' sample rate conversion function. For some PCs, sample rate conversion may not be performed properly and interruptions may occur in the audio sound. To resolve this problem, perform the following procedures to change the Windows settings. Go to AControl PanelB - ASounds and Audio DevicesB - AAudioB Tab - AAdvancedB APerformanceB Tab, and change ASample rate conversion qualityB from ABestB to AGoodB. For some PCs, sound quality may deteriorate when the Windows OS plays back audio files such as beep sounds with ASample rate conversion qualityB set to AGoodB. Sound Blaster is recommended for use with this product. A white zone appears in the built-in viewer. For some PCs, a part of the Internet Explorer graphics may not appear and is left white when the following IE setting is performed.
