A Dual Mono Drive system is a system in which 2 monaural amplifiers are
both set to bridged mode to drive one subwoofer with a high-output signal.
Setting
1. If you use the connection as shown, set amplifier
¡
to the Forward phase
(PHASE: 0 º) and set amplifier
to the Reverse phase (PHASE: 180 º).
2. Set all other switches (except for the "PHASE" switch) of amplifiers
¡
and
to
the same position.
Connection
1. Connect the
9
speaker wire to the
9
terminal of amplifier
¡
. Also, connect
the
·
speaker wire to the
9
terminal of amplifier
.
2. Connect between
·
terminals of amplifiers
¡
and
.
3. The remote controller can be used just when connected to amplifier
¡
. It can
be used for more fine control if also connected to amplifier
.
2
CAUTION
• Always connect between
·
terminals of amplifiers
¡
and
. If a cable is
incorrectly connected between
9
and
·
terminals of these amplifiers, the
amplifier protection circuit is turned on.
• Use a speaker having the 2Ω or higher impedance only.
• To protect the electrical system from a short-circuiting, be sure to remove the
·
battery cable from the vehicle in advance.
• Fully insulate amplifier terminals and speaker terminals to avoid a high voltage
from peripherals.
