Setting and adjusting the Player Initialization/Formatting Formatting can be used to delete all of the music and other files stored in the Player. Initialization resets the settings made using the Settings menu, etc. to the default settings made at the factory. Caution • Formatting deletes all of the files in the Player. It also deletes demonstration music, which cannot be restored later. It does not alter the settings made with the Settings menu. • Initialization resets the Settings menu to the default settings. It does not delete music files, etc. • Once formatted, the memory cannot be restored to the previous condition. Be cautious when performing formatting. 1 Open the home screen. 2 Open the Settings menu. 4FUUJOHT Press and hold the Left button until the home screen appears. 3 Select "Format" or "Initialize". 4FUUJOHT 'PSNBU *OJUJBMJ[F 4ZTUFN 4 Select "Yes". 'PSNBU /P :FT 5 Reconfirm and select "Yes". /'PPSNBU :/FPT :FT • The Player (represented as "KENWOOD_DAP" on Windows) can also be formatted from the PC. Use the "FAT (FAT16)" file system in formatting from the PC. 30 English
