Let's have sound 25 Muting the sound temporarily (Remote control unit only) Blinks Muting•ON••• MUTE ÷ Press again to resume the original volume. ÷ The sound muting is also canceled when the volume is controlled. Reproducing sound with enhanced bass (Exbass) (Remote control unit only) (NV-301 only) EX.BASS Lights BASS ÷ Each press switches Exbass Mode on and off alternately. ÷ The Exbass Mode is switched off at factory settings. Selecting 6-channel audio input (NV-701 only) VIDEO/6ch IN 6ch•Input••• L CR SW LS RS When you want to select 6-channel audio input after having made 6-channel connections, press and hold VIDEO/ 6ch IN to select "6ch Input" instead of the "Video2" input. To select another input source from VIDEO2 (digital or 2-channel analog), press and hold again until "Video2" appears in the display. Basic section When CD has been selected. CD01• ••1:19 One-touch operation function The power can also be turned ON by pressing the CD, TUNER, or TAPE key. It is also possible to turn the power ON by simply pressing the OPEN/CLOSE (0) key. ÷ When the CD or TAPE input is selected and a disc has been loaded in the disc tray or a tape has been loaded in the deck for use in playback, playback starts automatically. Standby mode While the STANDBY indicator of the unit is lit, a small amount of current is flowing into the unit to back up its internal memory. (The TIMER indicator also lights if a timer program has been activated before entering the STANDBY mode.) This condition is referred to as the standby mode of the unit. While the unit is in the standby mode, it can be turned ON from the remote control unit. This unit has been designed to minimize power consumption.
