Error Message CGA Port Not Responding Corrupt or Missing MC Firmware Image and Feeding • Streaks in the image • Reduced bar code recognition rates • Blurred images • Artifacts in the image • Skewed documents • Multifeeds • Feeder jams • Transport jams • Page frame errors Entry/exit sensor errors Possible Cause ... ... Possible Remedy Cycle power to the scanner. If the problem persists, contact Technical Support. Contact Technical Support. • Imaging guide(s) and/or camera cover(s) need to be cleaned. • Camera(s) need to be calibrated. • Clean the imaging guides. • Clean the camera covers. • Calibrate the camera(s). See Chapter 6, Maintenance. • Feeder needs cleaning. • Pick, drive and/or separation tires need cleaning. • Clean the pick and drive tires. • Clean the separation roller. See Chapter 6, Maintenance. • Transport needs cleaning. • Page sensors need cleaning. • Clean the transport area. • Clean the sensors. See Chapter 6, Maintenance. Transport sensors need cleaning. Clean the sensors. See Chapter 6, Maintenance. Feeder table does not automatically lower after the last page is fed Image is too dark Feeder sensor needs cleaning. Clean the sensors. Slippage of documents or multifeeds Color image lacks fidelity Scanner throughput has decreased Dog-earring pages • The pick and/or drive tires are worn out. • The feed rollers need cleaning. Camera(s) need to be calibrated. Tires on the pick and drive rollers are installed incorrectly. The straight pass-through door is not fully or completely closed. Clean and/or replace the pick, drive and/or separation tires. See Chapter 6, Maintenance. Calibrate the camera(s). See Chapter 6, Maintenance. Confirm pick and drive rollers/tires are installed properly. See Chapter 6, Maintenance. Confirm the straight pass-through door is fully closed. If the problem persists, contact Technical Support.
