2 2.3.2 Power supply 2.3 Operating the Power key When not operating this machine for a long period of time, for example, after working, press the Power key to shift to the power save mode. The machine mode changes to the following different modes depending on how the Power key is pressed. Pressing the Power key during operation changes to the Sub Power OFF mode. Holding down the Power key changes to the ErP Auto Power OFF mode. In either case, press the Power key again to turn the power on. If data or faxes are received while the sub power is turned off, they are printed when the sub power is turned on. The key lamp lights up orange. This machine is placed in the standby mode with a lower power consumption than the Sub Power OFF mode. In ErP Auto Power Off mode, this machine cannot receive data or faxes, and it also cannot scan or print an original. The key lamp flashes orange. The key lamp lights up blue. The power is returned immediately by pressing any key on the Control Panel for instance even when the Control Panel is off. 2.3.3 Power save function When a specified amount of time (default setting: 15 minutes) has elapsed without the machine being operated, the Touch Panel will go off, and it automatically enters the power save mode. The Power key flashes blue in the power save mode. The power save mode returns to the normal mode by pressing any key on the Control Panel for instance. There are two power save modes: the low power mode and the sleep mode. Sleep mode provides a greater power saving effect than Low Power mode. However, the time required to return to Normal mode is longer than the time required to revert to Low Power mode. d Reference The time required to shift to each mode can be changed in the Administrator Settings. Operating the Power key
When not operating this machine for a long period of time, for example, after working, press the

The machine mode changes to the following different modes depending on how the
