LG240 Canada Rogers ENG_0825 2006.8.25 4:24 PM ˘ ` 38 Messages Messages Voice Mail Menu 2.6 This menu provides you with a quick way of accessing your voice mailbox (if provided by your network). Before using this feature, you must enter the voice server number obtained from your service provider. When new voicemail is received, the symbol will be displayed on the screen. Please check with your network service provider for details of their service in order to configure the handset accordingly. Receive (Menu 2.7.1) Ability to enable or disable the reception of broadcast messages. Inbox (Menu 2.7.2) The list of received broadcast messages can be searched and the contents viewed. Topics (Menu 2.7.3) Info Messages Menu 2.7 Info service messages are text messages sent by the network to GSM phone users. They provide general information such as weather reports, traffic news, taxis, pharmacies, and stock prices. Each type of information is associated with a number, which can be obtained from the service provider. When you receive an info service message, a popup message will indicate a new message receipt or the info service message will be displayed directly. To create new topics, press the left soft key [OK] and then select the new topics menu by pressing the right soft key [Options]. You can Deactivate, Edit, Delete and Add New by pressing the left soft key [OK]. Alert (Menu 2.7.4) Ability to select the alert type for a new message. Auto Display (Menu 2.7.5) This option will automatically display all broadcast messages received. Scroll through the messages using the up/down navigation keys. 38
