TROUBLESHOOTING ENGLISH BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE Before you call for service, review this list. It may save you time and expense. This list includes common occurrences that are not the result of a defect in workmanship or materials. Problem Possible Causes Cooktop does not work • Cooktop controls are locked. Solutions • See USING CHILD LOCK to turn off the CHILD LOCK feature. • C ircuit breaker has tripped or fuse is blown. • Reset the circuit breaker. • Power outage. • Check house lights to confirm power outage. • Installation wiring not complete. • Contact the installer or dealer. Cooktop does not heat • N o cookware or improper cookware on Cooking Zone. • M ake sure that cookware is centered on the cooking zone, and that cookware is of the proper type for induction cooking. See SELECTING COOKWARE. • C ookware incorrect size for selected Cooking Zone. • C ookware bottom must be large enough to cover Cooking Zone completely. See SELECTING COOKWARE. • C ookware not resting completely • C ookware bottoms must be flat and centered on on Cooking Zone. the Cooking Zone, and must not rest on the cooktop triim. Make sure that cookware is centered on the cooking
zone, and that cookware is of the proper type for
induction cooking. See SELECTING COOKWARE.
Cookware bottom must be large enough to cover Cooking
Zone completely. See SELECTING COOKWARE.
Cookware bottoms must be flat and centered on
the Cooking Zone, and must not rest on the
cooktop triim. See SELECTING COOKWARE.
