Replacing the maintenance kit Your printer monitors the life of printer components that affect your print quality. When these components reach the end of their life, the printer displays 80 Scheduled Maintenance. It is time for you to replace the maintenance kit. The maintenance kit consists of a transfer roller, paper discharger, and drum cleaner. For best print quality, make sure you replace the maintenance kit components when the 80 Scheduled Maintenance message appears. Press Go to clear the message. The Supplies message appears on the second line of the display to remind you that supplies need attention. If the top door is opened and closed, the message Did you replace Maintenance Kit? appears. If a new maintenance kit has not been installed, press Stop. If a new maintenance kit has been installed, press Go. 102
