Faxing 22 • Enable Color Fax Scans-Enable color scans for fax. • Auto Convert Color Faxes to Mono Faxes-Convert all outgoing color faxes to black and white. • Background Removal-Adjust the amount of background visible on a scanned image. • Color Dropout-Specify which color to drop during scanning, and adjust the dropout setting for that color. • Contrast-Specify the contrast of the output. • Mirror Image-Create a mirror image of the original document. • Negative Image-Create a negative image of the original document. • Shadow Detail-Adjust the amount of shadow detail visible on a scanned image. • Adjust ADF Skew-Correct slight skews in the scanned image. • Sharpness-Adjust the sharpness of a scanned image. • Scan edge to edge-Allow edge‑to‑edge scanning of the original document. 3 Click Submit. Configuring the fax receive settings 1 From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Fax Settings > Analog Fax Setup. 2 From the Fax Receive Settings section, configure the settings. • Enable Fax Receive-Set the printer to receive fax. • Enable Caller ID-Show the number that is sending the incoming fax. • Fax Job Waiting-Remove fax jobs that request specific unavailable resources from the print. • Rings to Answer-Set the number of rings for incoming fax. • Auto Answer-Set the printer to receive fax automatically. • Manual Answer Code-Manually enter a code on the telephone number pad to begin receiving fax. This field contains a maximum of 8 characters. • Auto Reduction-Scale incoming fax to fit on the page. • Paper Source-Set the paper source for printing incoming fax. • Fax Separator Sheets-Specify whether to insert blank separator sheets when printing. • Fax Separator Source-Specify the paper source for the separator sheet. • Sides (Duplex)-Print on both sides of the paper. • Fax Footer-Print the transmission information at the bottom of each page from a received fax. • Fax Footer Time Stamp-Print the time stamp at the bottom of each page from a received fax. • Max Speed-Set the maximum speed for receiving fax. • Fax Forwarding-Specify how to forward received fax. • Forward to-Specify where to forward received fax. • Forward to Shortcut-Enter the shortcut number which matches the recipient type (Fax, E-mail, FTP, LDSS, or eSF). • Block No Name Fax-Block incoming faxes sent from devices with no station ID or fax ID specified. • Banned Fax List-Specify the phone numbers that you want to block. Use a comma to separate multiple phone numbers. 3 Click Submit.
