BIOS Setup w PCI Latency Timer This item controls how long each PCI device can hold the bus before another takes over. When set to higher values, every PCI device can conduct transactions for a longer time and thus improve the effective PCI bandwidth. For better PCI performance, you should set the item to higher values. Setting options: 32, 64, 96, 128, 160, 192, 224, and 248. w UMA Frame Buffer Size Frame Buffer is the video memory that stores data for video display (frame). This field is used to determine the memory size for Frame Buffer. Larger frame buffer size increases video performance. w Spread Spectrum When the system clock generator pulses, the extreme values of the pulse generate excess EMI. If you do not have any EMI problem, leave the setting at Disabled for optimal system stability and performance. But if you are plagued by EMI, setting to Enabled for EMI reduction. 4-8
