Exhaust

Feature

The

exhaust

hood

feature

on

your

microwave

oven

is

equipped

with

two

metal

filters

which

collect

grease.

When

the

fan

is

operationg,

air

is

drawn

up

through

the

filters

and

is

then

discharged

through

the

venting

to

the

outside

or

through

the

charcoal

fi

lters

if

not

vented

to

the

outside.

Reusable

Grease

Filters

The

reusable

grease

filters

should

be

cleaned

at

least

once

a

month.

Never

operate

the

microwave

without

the

filters

in

place.

In

situations

where

fl

aming

might

occur

on

surfaces

below

the

hood,

fi

lters

will

stop

the

entry

of

fl

ames

into

the

unit.

grasp

the

"finger

hold"

on

the

fi

lter

and

slide

to

the

rear.

Then

pull

fi

lter

downward

and

to

the

left.

The

filter

will

drop

out.

soak

and

then

agitate

lter

in

solution

of

hot

water

and

detergent.

Do

not

use

ammonia

or

ammonia

products

because

they

will

darken

the

metal.

Light

brushing

can

be

used

to

remove

embedded

dirt.

Rinse,

shake

and

remove

moisture

before

replacing.

frame

slot

on

right

of

the

opening.

filter

upward

and

to

the

left

to

lock

into

place.
