BASIC OPERATION USE MODE The remote controller will normally be used in the USE mode. It comes preset with codes commonly used to control 11 types of components manufactured by Marantz and Philips, including DSS, DVD, TV, LD, VCR, AUX, TUNER, CD, TAPE, CD-R/MD, and AMP, as well as many others that utilize the RC-5 remote control language. 1.
