en-US Using the Powerbrush Recommended use Please be sure to observe your flooring manufacturer's cleaning and care instructions. The Powerbrush is specially suited for the thorough vacuuming of carpets subject to heavy wear. It is very effective at removing deep-seated dirt and preventing frequently used areas from being trodden into a path.  Do not use the Powerbrush to vacuum high quality, hand knotted rugs, for example Berber or Persian rugs, as well as extremely long piled area rugs and carpets, e.g. shag. There is a danger of the threads being pulled out. Turn the Powerbrush off to vacuum these types of floor coverings and use only low suction power. During vacuuming, the Powerbrush will switch off automatically whenever the vacuum cleaner is raised to its upright position. How to use the Powerbrush  To achieve the best results, pass the Powerbrush slowly backwards and forwards over the carpet or floor. For rugs with fringe, always draw the Powerbrush from the middle of the rug across the fringe towards the floor to keep the fringe smooth. Using the accessories supplied (Fig. 22) The following accessories are stowed at the back of the vacuum cleaner:  Upholstery nozzle  Crevice nozzle, 12" (300 mm)  Dusting brush with natural bristles  Do not use the Powerbrush to clean highly variable or uneven floors. The sole plate may come into contact with the floor and cause damage. Switching the Powerbrush on and off (Fig. 21) To use the Powerbrush, you will need to switch it on in addition to the vacuum cleaner using the  button on the handle. The Powerbrush indicator light on the control panel will light up yellow. This button also enables you to switch the Powerbrush off when vacuuming.  Attach the desired accessory to the suction hose handle or the telescopic wand. Maintenance  Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the electrical supply for maintenance work. Unplug it from the wall socket.
