Features Oven controls The oven controls enable you to use the various cooking functions to bake, roast and broil. It also allows you to access: - the time of day display, - a kitchen timer, - a timer to automatically turn cooking programs on and off, - settings that can be customized. Safety features System lock  for the oven The system lock prevents the oven from being used unintentionally (see "System lock "). The system lock will remain activated even after a power failure. Cooling fan The cooling fan comes on automatically when a cooking program is started. The cooling fan mixes hot air from the oven cavity with cool room air before venting it out into the kitchen through vents located between the appliance door and the control panel. The cooling fan will continue to run for a while after a program is complete to prevent moisture from building up in the oven, on the control panel or surrounding cabinetry. When the temperature in the oven has fallen sufficiently, the cooling fan will turn off automatically. Vented oven door The oven door is made of glass panes that have a heat-reflective coating on part of their surface. During operation, air is also circulated through the door to keep the outer pane cool. The door can be removed and disassembled for cleaning purposes (see "Cleaning and care"). Safety Door Lock for Self Clean For safety, the door is locked as soon as the Self-Clean program is started. After the program has finished, the door will remain locked until the temperature in the oven has fallen below 535°F (280°C). 24
