Set up or edit the email inbox settings: s > Messaging Options > Setup > Email Msg Setup 76 Phone Features 13.2.5 Contacts Feature Create Entry Description Create a new contact entry: s > Contacts > [New Entry] or Options > Create New > Phone Contact, SIM Contact, Mailing List or Email List Shortcut: Enter a phone number in the home screen then press the Store key to create an entry for that number. Tip: Some of your contacts may have more than one phone number, email address or URL. When creating a contact entry select Add More to store additional items for the same name. To enter a Ringer ID, Picture or Birthday press Customise. Note: If you enter a Birthday, the Zodiac sign is entered. You can't manually enter the Zodiac sign. Instant Messaging 13.2.3 Feature Print Message Over Bluetooth® Connection Description You can use a Bluetooth wireless connection to send a message from your phone to a printer. s > Messaging > Inbox, Email Inbox, Browser Messages, or Info Services Highlight the message you want to print and press Options > Print. Note: You cannot print Quick Notes or Postcard. For more about Bluetooth connections, see page 43. 13.2.3 Instant Messaging Feature Log In Description s > Messaging > Vodafone Messenger > Log In Feature Add Contacts Description After you log in: Press Options > Add Contact and enter the contact's IM ID and nickname. Find Others Online After you log in: Select Online Contacts to see a list of others online. Start Conversation Highlight a name in Online Contacts and press the Send Im key. Open Active Conversation Highlight a name in Conversations and press the View key. End Conversation From the conversation view: Log Out Create or Change IM Accounts Options > End Conversation Select Log Out from the IM Online Menu. s > Messenger, then press Options > IM Account Select an IM account or select New to create a new IM account. Phone Features 75 Contacts 13.2.5 Feature View All Entry Details Dial Entry Voice Dial Entry Description View all the phone numbers, email addresses or URLs associated with a contact. s > Contacts, highlight the contact entry, press S left and right to view the other details. Call a number stored in the contacts: s > Contacts, highlight the contact entry, press to call Shortcut: In the contacts, enter the first letters of an entry name to jump to the entry. You can also press * and # to see the entries that you use frequently or entries in other categories. To Voice dial a number stored in the contacts: From idle, press and hold then say the command when prompted. Feature Edit Entry Store a PIN Code in a Number Description Edit an entry stored in the contacts: s > Contacts, highlight the contact entry, then press s > Options > Edit. While entering the number: Options > Insert Pause waits for the call to connect, then sends the remaining digit(s). If your network does not recognise the first pause character, try two (pp). Wait waits for the call to connect, then prompts you for confirmation before it sends the remaining digit(s). 'n' prompts you for a number before dialling the call. The number you enter is inserted into the dialling sequence in place of the n character. Phone Features 77
