Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the Motorola homesight™ Wired Camera. A high-resolution color video camera, it includes a built-in heat/motion detector and an audio microphone. These features enable you to secure an area, rain or shine. This Quick Start Guide describes how to set up and troubleshoot your Wired Camera. Controlling Your Camera Using your computer and the Wireless System Controller, you locally manage your home environment with the Motorola homesight software. When configured, the system can notify you of any new events by sending an e-mail when your Wired Camera detects an event. An event is defined as motion in the field of view of the camera's heat/motion sensor. How It Works The Wired Camera surveys an area up to 16 feet (6 m) at a viewing angle of 60 degrees. If armed, heat/motion triggers the camera to turn on automatically and begin capturing a still image, or a video clip of a prescribed length. The camera transmits the video back to the Wireless System Controller, which in turn feeds your computer. This enables you to view the image or watch the video to determine the cause of the triggered event. ™ Wired Camera. A high-resolution color video camera, it includes a built-in
heat/motion detector and an audio microphone. These features enable you to secure an area, rain or shine. This Quick Start Guide describes
how to set up and troubleshoot your Wired Camera.
Controlling Your Camera
Using your computer and the Wireless System Controller, you locally manage your home environment with the Motorola
homesight
software.
When configured, the system can notify you of any new events by sending an e-mail when your Wired Camera detects an event. An event is
defined as motion in the field of view of the camera's heat/motion sensor.
How It Works
The Wired Camera surveys an area up to 16 feet (6 m) at a viewing angle of 60 degrees. If armed, heat/motion triggers the camera to turn on
automatically and begin capturing a still image, or a video clip of a prescribed length. The camera transmits the video back to the Wireless
System Controller, which in turn feeds your computer. This enables you to view the image or watch the video to determine the cause of the
triggered event.
