Basic Camera Setup: The Setup Menu Blur Warning Choose whether or not the blur warning is displayed ( 16). Note that the warning may not always be displayed ( 85). BLUR WARNING Off On MENU Exit OK Confirm Auto Off Choose the time before the monitor turns off automatically to save power ( 8). Option Auto off Sleep Mode Description Choose delay before monitor turns off when no operations are performed. Select On or Off. If On is selected, monitor will turn off if no change is detected in brightness of subject for 30 s (Auto off set to 1 min. or less) or 1 min. (Auto off set to 5 min. or more). AUTO OFF Auto off 1m Sleep Mode OFF MENU Exit OK Confirm Regardless of the option selected, the monitor will remain on for a minimum of three minutes when menus are displayed, and for thirty minutes during a slide show. 62

The camera uses two AA batteries. Depending on the country or region of purchase, the package will include either alkaline batteries or an MH-71 battery charger with rechargeable EN-MH1 batteries.	18
If the camera came with a battery charger and rechargeable Nikon EN-MH1 NiMH batteries, charge the batteries as described below. If the camera came with a pair of alkaline batteries, skip to “Insert the batteries” on the following page.	18
