Shooting Options: The Shooting Menu d White Balance Adjust white balance based on the light source to give pictures the most realistic colors possible. [Auto] can be used under most types of lighting, or you can apply the white balance setting suited to a particular light source to achieve more accurate results. White balance Auto White bal. preset Daylight Incandescent Fluorescent MENU Exit e Auto (default setting) White balance automatically adjusted to suit lighting conditions. Best choice in most situations. f White bal. preset Neutral-colored object used as reference to set white balance under unusual lighting conditions (c 78). g Daylight White balance adjusted for direct sunlight. h Incandescent Use under incandescent lighting. i Fluorescent Use under most types of fluorescent lighting. j Cloudy Use when taking pictures under overcast skies. l Flash Use with the flash. At settings other than [Auto], the icon for the current setting is displayed in the monitor (c 6).
