Using Subject Tracking Rotate the mode dial to A M d button M select A (shooting menu) M AF area mode M k button M s Subject tracking M k button M d button 1 Register a subject. • Align the subject that you want to track with the border in the center of the frame and press the k button. • When the subject is registered, a yellow border (focus area) is displayed around it and the camera begins tracking the subject. • If the subject cannot be registered, the border is displayed in red. Change the composition and try registering the subject again. • To cancel subject registration, press the k button. • If the camera can no longer track the registered subject, the focus area disappears. Register the subject again. 2 Press the shutter-release button all the way to take the picture. • If the shutter-release button is pressed while the focus area is not displayed, the camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.
