The Shutter-release Button Press halfway Press all the way To set focus and exposure (shutter speed and aperture value), press the shutter-release button halfway, stopping when you feel resistance. Focus and exposure remain locked while the shutterrelease button is pressed halfway. While pressing the shutter-release button halfway, press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down to release the shutter and take a picture. Do not use force when pressing the shutter-release button, as this may result in camera shake and blurred images. Press the button gently.
