Image Quality The D800 supports the following image quality options. See page 436 for information on the number of pictures that can be stored at different image quality and size settings. Option File type Description RAW data from the image sensor are saved directly to the memory card in Nikon Electronic NEF (RAW) NEF Format (NEF). Settings such as white balance and contrast can be adjusted on a computer after shooting. Record uncompressed TIFF-RGB images at a bit TIFF (RGB) TIFF depth of 8 bits per channel (24-bit color).
