Get started 5 Get started Insert SIM card and battery Safe removal. Always switch the device off and disconnect the charger before removing the battery. The SIM card and its contacts can be easily damaged by scratches or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting, or removing the card. 1 Press and slide the back cover towards the bottom of the phone, and remove it (1). 2 Remove the battery (2). 3 Open the SIM card holder (3), insert the SIM card with the contact surface facing down (4), and close the holder (5). 4 Insert the battery (6), and replace the back cover (7). Insert a microSD card Use only compatible microSD cards approved by Nokia for use with this device. Nokia uses approved industry standards for memory cards, but some brands may not be fully compatible with this device. Incompatible cards may damage the card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card. Your phone supports microSD cards with a capacity of up to 2 GB. A compatible memory card may be supplied with the device, and may already be inserted in the device. If not, do the following: 1 Open the cover of the memory card slot. 2 Insert the card into the memory card slot with the contact surface facing up, and press until it locks into place.
