Message Settings Set 1 (menu 2-4-1)1 A setting group or "set" is a collection of settings needed for sending text messages. You can, for example, send a text message as a fax, if supported by your service provider, by simply selecting the set in which you have predefined the proper settings for fax transmissions. Each set has its own submenu: • Message centre number Stores the phone number of the message centre needed for sending text messages. You obtain this number from your service provider. Key in the phone number of the Message Centre or edit the existing one and press (OK). • Message sent as You can request the network to convert your Text messages into E-mail, Fax or Paging format (network service). In order to receive a converted message, the recipient must have an appropriate terminal device available. • Message validity This network service allows you to set the length of time that your text messages are stored at the message centre while attempts are made to deliver them. A setting group or “set” is a collection of settings needed for sending
text messages.
You can, for example, send a text message as a fax, if supported by
your service provider, by simply selecting the set in which you have
predefined the proper settings for fax transmissions.
Each set has its own submenu:
Message centre number
Stores the phone number of the message centre needed for sending
text messages. You obtain this number from your service provider.
Key in the phone number of the Message Centre or edit the existing
one and press
