Using the Variable Control Voice Actuator (VCVA) VCVA standby monitor setting When [Standby Monitor] is set to [On] with the menu setting, the recording will not be output from the earphone while in VCVA standby. When you monitor your recording with the earphone connected, you can check whether VCVA is launched or not by checking if an audio is output. 2 1 While the recorder is stopped or during recording, press the MENU 2 button for 1 second or longer. The menu opens. ( P97, 99) 1 2 Press the + or - button to choose [VCVA]. Using the Variable Control Voice Actuator 3 Press the OK or 9 button. 4 Press the + or - button to choose [Standby Monitor]. 4,6 5 Press the OK or 9 button. The [Standby Monitor] setup process begins. 3,5,7 6 Press the + or - button to choose between [On] and [Off]. 7 Press the OK button to complete the setup screen. If the 0 button is pressed, the setting will be canceled and it will return to the menu. 8 8 Press the STOP button to close the menu. If it returns to the menu screen during recording, press the 0 button to close the menu screen. 31
