CARE IN HANDLING 1.Avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight, high temperature, high humidity or strong magnetic fields. 2.To clean the unit, do not use solvents such as benzine alcohol or thinner. MAINTENANCE l.Keep the head clean at all times. If necessary, use the cleaning cassette tape MC - C2, or apply head cleaning solvent with a swab. 2.Excessive tape slack can cause malfunctions. Insert a pencil into the core of the reel and turn gently before loading. HELPFUL HINTS Ql. When the tape does not run: Al. Is the power cord connected properly? Is the POWER Switch pressed ON? Q2. When the unit produces no sound: A2. The VOLUME control may be set to "0". Check to see if the HEADSET is plugged in. Q3. When the sound level is unstable or low: A3. The head and/or pinch roller may be dirty. 4. If a malfunction is caused by external sources, remove the power plug and insert it again. 5
