Connections For safety considerations, turn off all other system components before you connect or disconnect any component and plug the power cord for the last. Using the SKW-770 with an AV amplifier When using the SKW-770 in conjunction with an AV amplifier or receiver that features surround capability, connect the SKW-770 LINE INPUT to SUBWOOFER PREOUT jack using the supplied pin connector cable. SUBWOOFER PREOUT Connecting the Power Cord 1 Connect the supplied power cord to the subwoofer's AC INLET. To AC wall outlet 2 Plug the power cord into an AC wall outlet. SKW-770 (Supplied) Note • Before connecting the power cord, connect all of your speakers and AV components. • Turning on the subwoofer may cause a momentary power surge that might interfere with other electrical equipment on the same circuit. If this is a problem, plug the subwoofer into a different branch circuit. • Do not use a power cord other than the one supplied with the subwoofer. The supplied power cord is designed exclusively for use with the subwoofer and should not be used with any other equipment. • Never disconnect the power cord from the subwoofer while the other end is still plugged into a wall outlet. Doing so may cause an electric shock. Always disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet first, and then the subwoofer. Caution • With other audio-video components, connect the subwoofer's LINE INPUT to the subwoofer pre out jack of your equipment. Never plug any kind of musical instrument to the subwoofer. En 5
