Adjustments Placement To set the level of the subwoofer, use the OUTPUT LEVEL knob. Set it so that bass sounds are evenly balanced with the treble sounds from the other speakers. Because our ears are less sensitive to very low bass sounds, there's a temptation to set the level of the subwoofer too high. As a rule of thumb, set the subwoofer level to what you think is the optimal level, and then back it off slightly. Note • Be careful not to allow the input of excessive power. Input levels that greatly exceed normal situations can damage the SKW-770. Also note that switching operations at the amplifier may generate excessive noise that may result in damage. When using switches at the amplifier, first lower the volume to prevent accidental damage. The placement of the SKW-770 can greatly affect the sound that is produced. In general, a good bass sound can be obtained by installing the subwoofer in a front corner, or at one-third the width of the wall, as shown. 1/3 room length Corner En 6
