Hard Disk Drive 35 To change your hard disk drive, contact Panasonic Technical Support CAUTION To customers: To change your hard disk, contact Panasonic Technical Support. Be sure to back up all important data before the change. To technicians (at Panasonic Technical Support): Be careful when replacing the hard disk. The hard disk is extremely sensitive to shock. In addition, static electricity could later affect some internal components. Do not put pressure on the top surface of the hard disk drive. When handling the drive, hold the drive from the side. Installing/Removing the hard disk (For technicians at Panasonic Technical Support) 1 Power off your computer ( "Starting Up/Shutting Down") Do not shut down using the suspend or hibernation mode. 2 Remove the battery pack ( page 25) 3 Remove the cover Remove the nine screws with a screwdriver, and remove the bottom cover as shown in the illustration.
