Adjusting Focus Manually Recording Applicable modes: Use this function when you want to fix the focus or when the distance between the lens and the subject is determined and you do not want to activate Auto Focus. 1 Set the focus mode lever to [MF]. 2 Press [ ]. 3 Press 3/4/2/1 to adjust the focus position, and press [MENU/SET]. 4 Adjust the focus. When using an interchangeable lens (H-ES12060) with a focus ring Rotate to A side: Focuses on nearby subject Rotate to B side: Focuses on faraway subject A B A MF Assist (enlarged screen) B Peaking C MF Guide + • The in-focus portions will be highlighted. (Peaking) • You can check whether the point of focus is to the near side or to the far side. (MF Guide) AF You can perform the following operations: Button operation Touch operation Description of operation 3/4/2/1 Dragging Moves the enlarged area Pinching out/in Enlarges/reduces the screen in small steps. s Enlarges/reduces the screen in large steps. Switches the enlarged display (windowed/full screen) [DISP.] [Reset] First time: The position of the enlarged area is reset to the center. Second time: The magnification level of the enlarged area is reset to the default. 5 Press the shutter button halfway. • You can also perform the same operation by pressing [MENU/SET].
