Even if you do not want to use the TV Guide On ScreenTM system, complete the setup. You cannot use timer recording unless the setup is completed. Only English is displayed in the TV Guide On ScreenTM system. Other languages cannot be displayed. RQT7392 10 TV Guide On ScreenTM system This unit downloads a free television program list from a TV station and displays the list on the television screen. The list offers you many convenient functions such as timer recording (➡ page 19) and so on (➡ page 23). ≥If you receive your programming solely from a satellite service, the program guide in this unit will not receive program listings or channel information. Without this information, program-based recordings cannot be made. However, recordings can still be set manually. Downloading the television program list ≥The unit downloads the television program list only when the unit is turned off. ≥When the unit is connected to a cable TV box, the cable TV box must be turned on in order to download the television program list. ≥In order to cool the circuits used for downloading the television program list, sometimes the cooling fan operates when the unit is turned off. After plugging the unit into your household AC outlet and pressing

DVD POWER] to turn the unit on for the first time, the unit starts
TV Guide On Screen
TM
system setup.
Even if you do not want to use the TV Guide On
Screen
TM
system, complete the setup. You cannot use
timer recording unless the setup is completed.
