Answering System Listening to messages using the handset When new messages have been recorded: - "New message" is displayed. - The message indicator on the handset flashes slowly if the message alert feature is turned on (page 36). 1 {MENU} i {PLAY} L If new messages have been recorded, the handset plays back new messages. L If there are no new messages, the handset plays back all messages. 2 When finished, press {OFF}. Note: L In step 1, you can also perform each specific operation. ■ To listen to new messages: {MENU} i {#}{3}{2}{3} ■ To listen to all messages: {MENU} i {#}{3}{2}{4} L To switch to the receiver, press {C}. Operating the answering system You can also operate the answering system by pressing dial keys or soft keys on the handset. To use the following commands: {MENU} i {V}/{^}: "Answering device" i {SELECT} Key {0} {*}{4}*3 {*}{5} {*}{6} Operation Turn answering system off Erase currently playing message Erase all messages Erase greeting message*4 *1 If pressed within the first 5 seconds of a message, the previous message is played. *2 "Ring count" is displayed first. *3 You can also erase as follows: {ERASE} i {V}/{^}: "Yes" i {SELECT} *4 Unit resets to a pre-recorded greeting message. Listening to messages using
the handset
When new messages have been recorded:
