Power Supply Rechargeable batteries (not included) Recharge before initial use. As a safety precaution this unit is constructed so it is impossible to recharge ordinary batteries. For details, check with your dealer. Special rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries: P-3GAVA/2B (set of 2) Ordinary dry cell batteries/ rechargeable batteries Turn the unit off before recharging. 1 DC IN 2 OPEN 3 Close securely. Household AC outlet Dry cell batteries After disconnecting the AC adaptor, insert two "LR6, AA, UM-3" alkaline batteries. Insert the same way as the rechargeable batteries. General ∫Play time ➪Specifications, page 4 ∫Removing batteries AC adaptor (RP-AC46) (not included) ≥ The battery indicator ( ) scrolls while recharging and disappears when finished (3 to 4 hours). ≥ You can recharge the batteries before they are fully discharged. The battery indicator This indicator appears when the unit is on. 1 5:22 The unit switches off shortly after the indicator starts flashing. ≥ Before playing starts the battery indicator may flash although the batteries are not drained. It appears correctly once you start play. How to Use Before inserting a CD, press down on the latch side of the battery lid to ensure it is properly closed. Playback Pause 3 Press [1/;].
