TEMP and LAMP Indicators Managing the indicated problems If a problem should occur with the projector, the LAMP and/or TEMP indicators will inform you. Manage the indicated problems as follows. 1. Confirm the status of all indicators and projector, and switch off the projector in proper way. 2. Find out the cause of the problem by status of the LAMP and/or TEMP indicators. 3. Follow the following instruction for each indication and solve the problem. 4. Turn on the projector in the correct way and confirm the indicator is not indicating a problem any longer. Power LAMP TEMP J LAMP indicator Indicator Illuminating red Flashing red Problem Cause Remedy LAMP RUNTIME has reached 1 800 hours. The lamp unit will run out soon and needs to be replaced. See "Replacing the lamp unit" on page 47. Lamp circuit failure, abnormal function or lamp unit is damaged. The MAIN POWER is switched on again before the lamp unit is cooled enough. Let the lamp unit cool down and turn on the MAIN POWER after 90 seconds. Lamp circuit failure, abnormal function. Contact an Authorized Service Center. The lamp unit is damaged. See "Replacing the lamp unit" on page 47. J TEMP indicator Indicator Illuminating red while projecting and the alert will be displayed. Flashing red and the power button is turned off. Problem The temperature inside and/or outside the projector is abnormally high. Cause Remedy The ventilation openings are covered. Remove the object(s) from the ventilation openings or clear around the projector. The room temperature is too high. The air filter is excessively The projector is located at dirty and the ventilation is high elevations (above poor. 1 400 - 2 700 m). Reinstall the projector in a temperature controlled place. Maintenance
TEMP and LAMP Indicators
If a problem should occur with the projector, the
LAMP
and/or
TEMP
indicators will inform you. Manage the indicated problems as follows.
1.
Confirm the status of all indicators and projector, and switch off
the projector in proper way.
2.
Find out the cause of the problem by status of the
LAMP

indicators.
3.

poor.
The projector is located at
high elevations (above
1 400 - 2 700 m).
Remedy
Remove the object(s)
from the ventilation
openings or clear around
the projector.
Reinstall the projector in a
temperature controlled
place. See page 54.

Turn on the projector and
set the
HIGH ALTITUDE
MODE
to
ON
.
