With a PC Using as a Web Camera If the Camcorder is connected to your personal computer, you can send video and sound from the Camcorder to other parties via the network. (You can use the microphone equipped with the personal computer instead of the one on the Camcorder.) ≥Do not connect the USB Cable until the USB Driver or WebCam Driver is installed. (Requires Internet connection.) ≥You have direct dial-up connection capability to the Internet (minimum requirement). Also, you and the other person(s) are on the same Network (LAN). ≥Install Windows Messenger (Windows XP) or MSN Messenger (Windows 98SE/Me/2000). Installing WebCam Driver

Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the
personal computer’s CD-ROM drive.
Quit all applications.
The [Setup] screen appears.

Click [WebCam Driver]
The set up program starts running.

For Windows XP users:
Depending on your system environment,
installation of “DirectX 9.0b” may be
required. Click [Yes] and continue with
installation.
After “DirectX 9.0b” is installed, the computer
will restart.
Do not remove the CD-ROM.
Installation may take a little while.

Finish installation by following the
on-screen instructions.
Click [Next] and proceed with installation.
After completing the installation, Click
[Finish].

Click [OK].
