TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Check the following chart before requesting service. SYMPTOM CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION PAGE POWER The AC power cord is not connected. No power. Although the power is on, the TV/VCR does not operate. The DC car cord is not plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. The DC car cord fuse is blown. Cassette is not inserted. PROG TIMER button is depressed. Moisture condenses on the video heads. TV BROADCAST RECEPTION Poor or no picture. TV station experiencing problems. Picture control is not adjusted. Possible local interference. Poor or no color. Antenna (CATV) connector is not connected or possible localinterference. TV station experiencing problems. Picture control is not adjusted. Possible local interference. Picture wobbles or drifts. No CATV reception. No reception above channel 13. Poor or no sound. Antenna (CATV) connector is not connected or possible local interference. TV station experiencing problems. Antenna (CATV) connector is not connected or possible local interference. Cable TV channel is scrambled. CATV connector is not connected. TV/CATV Mode menu option is set to the TV mode. Cable TV service interrupted. TV/CATV Mode menu option is not set to the appropriate mode. UHF antenna is not connected. TV station experiencing problems. Antenna (CATV) connector is not connected or possible local interference. Possible local interference. MUTE button is depressed. Connect the AC power cord to the 10 AC outlet. Connect the DC car cord to the cigarette lighter socket. 10 Replace fuse. 11 Insert a video cassette. 20 Press the PROG TIMER button. 22 "DEW" appears on the screen.
