Taking Pictures • When the (Sport) or E (Pet) mode is selected, the automatic tracking AF function operates and the camera continues to adjust the focus on the moving subject even after the shutter release button is pressed halfway. • In Picture mode, Saturation, Contrast, Sharpness and White Balance are automatically set to their default settings. You cannot change the settings. Taking Pictures of Your Pet (Pet Mode) In Pet mode, you can take pictures that shows natural hair color of your pet. Choose the appropriate icon depending on what color your pet is (closer to black or white or in between). 1 Press the four-way controller (3) in Capture mode. 4 The Mode Palette appears. 2 Use the four-way controller (2345) to select E. 3 Press the OK button. The screen for selecting the pet mode appears. 4 Use the four-way controller (23) to select E, F, F, H, G or G. There are two icons of a cat and a dog. OK OK (Choosing either the cat or dog icon does not affect the resulting picture. Choose whichever you prefer.) 5 Press the OK button. 38 The Pet mode is selected and the camera is ready to take the picture. 6 Press the shutter release button halfway. The focus frame turns green when the 09/24/2005 14:25 subject is in focus. 7 Press the shutter release button fully. The picture is taken. When the E (Pet) mode is selected, the automatic tracking AF function operates and the camera continues to adjust the focus on the moving subject even after the shutter release button is pressed halfway. 56
