AUTO FLASH MODE At this photographic mode, the camera itself decides whether or not to fire flash. 1. If sufficient light is measured through the auto-exposure metering sensor, the built-in flash will not fire when shutter releasing. 2. If insufficient light is measured through the auto-exposure metering sensor, it will require additional light for good photography. Then the built-in flash will fire automatically when shutter releasing. RED-EYE REDUCTION MODE Selecting this mode makes it possible to minimize the red-eye effect that sometimes occurs when taking portrait photographs with flash. Now it's easy for anyone to take superior shots of people. 1. Press the mode button until the symbol appears on the LCD Panel. 2. Press the shutter release button halfway so that the ready monitor lights up. 3. Press the shutter release button. • When external light source is sufficient, buildin flash will not activate when pressing the shutter release button (same as auto mode). 23
