Scalloped edges can be used effectively as trimming on numerous articles. The illustrations (left) show how scalloping adds sparkle to a child's collar. Here's how to do it. First, trace the collar pattern on a doubled piece - of fabric. Set machine as indicated above, place fabric under sewing foot and guide needle along traced line. The scallops are produced automatically. 4 You may vary the length of the scallops (see sketch) by changing the setting of / lever E. When you have finished, trim excess lobric along scalloped edge.
