10 Telephone answering machine (TAM) Your phone features an answering machine that records unanswered calls when it is activated. The answering machine can store up to 99 messages. The maximum recording time is 18 minutes. You can use the control keys on the base station to perform the basic functions of the answering machine such as paging, message playback, deleting messages and adjustment of volume on the base station. For a description of each function of the control keys on the base station, please see "Overview of the base station" on chapter 3.4 for more details. You can also use the answer machine menu on the handset to access the answering machine functions and to set the answering machine options. o To begin, press key on your base station to switch on the answering machine. You can use the control keys on the base station to perform the basic functions of the
