English Troubleshooting (continued) Problem (General) No sound. Solution - Check the audio connections, the red and white jacks. Read chapter "Step 1: Basic Recorder Connections - Connecting the audio cables" for details. - Set the Digital output correctly, based on the equipment you connected to the DVD recorder. Read chapter "DVD Setup Menu Options - PLAYBACK settings - Digital Audio Output" for details. No TV signal received from the recorder. - Have your antenna or cable TV signal checked. - Install the TV channel. Read chapter "Step 3: Installation and Setup - Setting your TV channel programs" for details. A TV channel installed during the DVD recorder's automatic TV channel search is fuzzy or distorted. - Check the video connection between the DVD recorder and the TV. - You can further fine-tune the signal of the TV channel.Read chapter on "DVD Setup Menu Options - CHANNEL SETUP Settings - Modify Channel Information." - Press CH +/- to search for the same TV channel which may have a clearer picture. Unable to eject disc tray. - Exit from any system or recording setup menu until you see the Philips wallpaper on the screen. - Press STOP to stop any playback or recording. Then press EJECT on the set or press OPEN/CLOSE on the remote control to eject the disc tray. The contents of the USB flash drive cannot be read. - The USB flash drive format is not compatible with the system. - Drive is formatted with a different file system which is not supported by this DVD system (e.g. NTFS.)
