ENGLISH 10 External sources 10.1 Play or record to USB mass storage device You can playback music from a USB device on or .You can also transfer the music library of to a USB mass storage device, so that you can carry your favorite music with you wherever you go. 10.1.1 About USB device Note • In some USB flash (or memory) devices, the stored contents is recorded using copyright protection technology. Such protected contents cannot be played on any other devices (such as / ). • MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) USB devices are not supported. • Protected (DRM) WMA files cannot be played due to copyright issues. Compatible USB mass storage devices: The following devices can be used on or : • USB flash devices (USB 2.0 or USB1.1) • USB flash memory devices (USB 2.0 or USB1.1) Supported formats: • USB or memory file format FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 (sector size: 512 - 65,536 bytes) • MP3 bit rate (data rate): 32-320 Kbps and variable bit rate • WMA v9 or earlier versions • Directory nesting up to a maximum of 8 levels • Number of albums/folders: maximum 99 • Number of tracks/titles: maximum 999 • File name in Unicode UTF8 (maximum length: 256 bytes) • MP3 VBR,WMA VBR, AAC VBR format or will not play or support the following: • Empty albums that do not contain any MP3/WMA files and hence will not be displayed. • Unsupported formats are skipped (e.g. files with .doc extension are ignored). • WAV, PCM audio files • DRM protected WMA files • WMA files in Lossless How to transfer music files from your PC to a USB mass storage device You can easily transfer your favorite music from your PC to a USB mass storage device by drag & drop.
