Before You Start Section 01 English Important ! Do not store the remote control in high tem- peratures or direct sunlight. ! The remote control may not function properly in direct sunlight. ! Do not let the remote control fall onto the floor, where it may become jammed under the brake or accelerator pedal. About the SAT RADIO READY mark Protecting your unit from theft The front panel can be detached from the head unit to discourage theft. Important ! Never use force or grip the display and the buttons too tightly when removing or attaching. ! Avoid subjecting the front panel to excessive shocks. ! Keep the front panel out of direct sunlight and high temperatures. The SAT RADIO READY mark printed on the front panel indicates that the Satellite Radio Tuner for Pioneer (aka, XM tuner and Sirius satellite tuner which are sold separately) can be controlled by this unit. Please inquire to your dealer or nearest authorized Pioneer service station regarding the satellite radio tuner that can be connected to this unit. For satellite radio tuner operation, please refer to the satellite radio tuner owners manual. Removing the front panel 1 Press DETACH to release the front panel. Press DETACH and the right side of the panel is released from the head unit. 2 Grab the front panel and remove. Grab the right side of the front panel and pull away to the left. The front panel will be detached from the head unit. Notes ! The system will use direct satellite-to-receiver broadcasting technology to provide listeners in their cars and at home with crystal-clear sound seamlessly from coast to coast.
